Born on 1st January, 1969, Dr Prakash kumar did his Post graduation in Agronomy and Ph.D. in Plant Nutrition. On 10th October, 1991, he joined as Agriculture Research Officer in Department of Agriculture, Government of Rajasthan, India. After working 28 years as researcher in field of Agriculture, he resigned his magnificent officer job as Deputy Director, Agronomy (Research) in Government of Rajasthan in July 2021 and decided to launch two missions, one in field of agriculture named ‘Consultant Plant Doctor Mission- CPDM' and other in field of humanities named Human Divinity Mission-HDM. Both missions have separate portals.
‘Consultant Plant Doctor Mission’ is a programme designed for agriculture and allied sector students and professionals. The mission is motivating Agricultural students and professionals (through free academic releases) to serve farmers as 'advisor' with the sprit - To serve nature & humanity.
The Human Divinity Mission (HDM) is a humanities based academic program aimed to motivate youths in skills of Humanity. So, they may become better human being and successful professional. HDM is a human welfare mission focused on great human achievements (human divinities) in field of science, art and culture. The program will try to interact with people around the globe. The programme will cover all aspects of humanities irrespective to nation, cast, creed and culture.
Contribution in Science-
In his own field of expertise, his popular piece of scientific work entitled ‘A Guide to identifying and Managing Nutrient Deficiency in cereal crop’ was first published by renowned scientific organizations CIMMYT (Mexico) and IPNI (Georgia) in coordination. This work was later translated in several languages of the world.
In December 2013, CABI, UK published his book ‘Nutrient Deficiencies in field crops: Guide to diagnosis and treatment’. With over 600 illustrated photographs, this became one of the biggest nutrient deficiency diagnostic collections presently available in the world..
Dr Prakash Kumar provided biggest academic contribution of his life in developing a public sector farmer’s welfare project named ‘Pro-P’ in Department of Agriculture, Government of Rajasthan. Pro-P Project is presently the biggest ‘Written Farmers Advisory Project’ (Plant Doctor Services) on crop crisis management in India.
Dr Prakash Kumar contributed a substantial number of precious ‘identification photographs’ to the National Database of ‘National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources’ (NBAIR), Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
During his service career Dr Prakash Kumar contributed many popular books as author, published by Department of Agriculture, Government of Rajasthan. Most of such popular books were published under World Bank funded farmer’s welfare projects of Rajasthan Government.
The contribution of Dr Prakash Kumar to the farmers and department was many times recognised and honoured by the Government on occasions like Republic Day and Independence Day.
In field of humanities Dr Prakash kumar contributed following books-
1. Koshish to Kar: Ek Jeevan darshan kavya – The Koshish To Kar (KTK) is a philosophical poetry describing various qualities required to be developed in youth to make better attempts to achieve. The KTK consists of 174 mankas (poetry beads). Every manaka (bead) is drawn from great writings. In 'Koshish to kar' program, these mankas will be described with reference, stories and examples. The HDM will also release selected Manakas (beads) of KTK in form of desk posters and large size wall posters. These posters will be available time to time on HDM portal in free downloads. These posters will be free for all. Educational institutions may also utilize these posters to beautify their institutional interiors with motivational messages to youth.
2. Yuva Bodh Bharti – The 'yuva Bodh Bharti' is based on poetry book 'Yuva Bodh Bharti'. Yuva Bodh Bharti is a compilation of songs and poems related to youth intellect and wisdom. In every program of YBB, one poetry will be described to youth with philosophies and elucidations. The youths will be invited to sing YBB songs and draw drawings & paintings on songs and poems of 'Yuva Bodh Bharti'. The HDM will also release selected parts of Yuva Bodh Bharti (YBB) in form of Large size wall posters. These posters will be available time to time on HDM portal in free downloads. These posters will be free for all. Educational institutions may also utilize these posters to beautify their institutional interiors with motivational messages to youth.
3. The philosophy of Joy- The joy is the most magnificent achievement of our life. The joy is the intellect property of soul. The Joy is the only parameter that indicates the real quality of our live. The book describes the most complicated parts of ‘Human Behavioural Science’ in simple words. The purpose of the book is to purify the wisdom of the youth to lead a joyful life. The book is under construction.
4. Aanand Ka Darshar- This book is the translation of book ‘The philosophy of Joy’ in Hindi language..
5. Journey of an explorer- ‘Journey of an explorer’ is a science-based book narrating stories of human inventions. These stories will cover 3 lakh years journey of human (Homo sapiens) through struggle and achievements. The purpose of the book is to make youth familiar with our ancestor’s creativity and deep sense of empathy. The book is under construction.
6. Khoj karta ki Yatra- This book is the translation of book ‘Journey of an explorer’ in Hindi language.
